thanks sebastion, for letting a stranger take your photo . . .

jeanie, matt & baby lucy

One can only imagine what it would feel like to have travelled the road that Jeanie & Matt have been on. Yet, whenever you’d see them, they’d be smiling and always willing to do so much for everyone in their lives. Their gift, after a brave & mountainous journey, is the beautiful Lucy. Soon after she was born the new family-of-three had to travel overseas . . . they arrived in time for Lucy to meet her harabeoji (grandfather) & for Jeanie to say goodbye to her father. Another aching chapter, yet still they find happiness to give each other and to share with friends.

blessings to the three of you . . .
& thank you for allowing me to photograph & share part of your life

Lee - These shots are beautiful…

milly

I met Milly in November last year, when I approached her in the street to ask if I could take her photo. I took a shot & we swapped contact details so I could send her the image once the negs were back from the lab. But I never heard from Milly & I’d misplaced her info. Three months later I’m sitting in a cafe when this leggy girl places my coffee on the table. Guess who? Phone numbers were exchanged again & Milly finally got her photo.

I really wanted to photograph her again, but in prettier surroundings than the local street. So, after much emailing back and forth, it finally happened in early May. We only had just over an hour of shoot time on the day . . .  but what a beautiful hour it was.

100%  film + natural light.  A lone polaroid & its inverted negative here . . .
